The turning point at the Wankhede on Wednesday night was when Sunil Narine bowled Sachin Tendulkar for 27. That put the Kolkata Knight Riders firmly on the path to an amazing win over the Mumbai Indians.
On Saturday afternoon, at the Marriott here, the soft-spoken Narine, who’d finished with four for 15 to pocket another MoM award, smiled while recalling that dismissal. “I just bowled a normal off-break and The Master, well, misread it... Yeah, it has to be my best wicket in all formats... Getting the greatest batsman, after all,” Narine told The Telegraph. The 23-year-old Narine has played eight ODIs and a solitary T20 International. Clearly, the Test debut can’t be too far away for this Trinidadian. |
